Penrith Shoot

The shoot is situated in a very pleasant part of Cumbria and extends to over 1100 acres of farmland mostly set to pasture, with cereals and fodder beet grown on part of the area. There are wooded areas with two pheasant release pens.

Several gulleys and a large rough are hold cover and can be walked up.

The shoot has a purpose built flight pond, which is fed to provide duck flighting.

The shoot offers varied sport: pheasant and hare bring the main quarry, plus wildfowl and vermin species.

Organised days are arranged for up to ten guns during the season. Members book on arranged days via the Shoot Secretary. On each arranged day one experienced member is appointed as Shoot Captain for the day and controls the day, with particular regards for safety.

After the organised days members can book shooting at any time.
